Photographic and digital images of objects maintained by the Syracuse University Art Museum are available via request from the museum Registrar. Low-resolution digital images may be purchased for educational and research use, but may not be reproduced. Other photography (black-and-white photographs, color transparencies, and high-resolution digital files) may be rented or purchased for reproduction and publication purposes.
Please note, if no digital image exists of the requested SUArt object, new images may be created by the museum photography studio at an additional fee, and time to process. Rush service is available for an additional fee.
Upon review, you will be sent a fee quote for photo materials and for any applicable reproduction or processing fees. SUArt must receive your confirmation of fees, payment, and the signed SUArt Reproduction Use Form before photo materials are delivered. Upon receipt of the signed form and payment, the photo materials will be delivered within three business days via online download.
SUArt Museum makes no representation that it is the owner of the copyright of the art object depicted in the photo materials and assumes no responsibility for any claims by third parties arising out of your use of the photo materials. You must obtain all other permissions required for your use of the art object and the photo materials.
Please submit all inquiries and requests regarding images for personal and study purposes, one-time reproductions (including books and other printed publications), location filming, and merchandise licensing via the form below.
